A Writer’s Night in April

The Longmeadow Adult Center and Straw Dog Writers Guild present writer, linguist, and humorist Alexis Johnson. Co-founder of the much acclaimed International Language Institute, for over forty years Lexi has taught Spanish, Italian, Esperanto, Catalan as well as Arabic and Chinese. Her first book, Playing With a Full Deck, is a (mostly) humorous look at life. At present she is working on two books: I Was Going to Write a Book but I Forgot What I Wanted to Say, a story about caring for her mother with dementia. The second book is Dancing with Words, informative and humorous essays on language. Lexi is a graduate of Georgetown University, a master Language Trainer, and former commissioner for the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training.
