Straw Dog Writers Guild announces our new community partner, Valley Home Improvement.
Along with Forbes Library, Valley Home Improvement now sponsors Writers Night Out, our monthly Open Mic. Steven Silverman, President of VHI, said, “It feels good to sponsor the writing community.” SDWG is grateful for their generosity. SDWG believes that writers should be paid for their work. When we invite writers to be a Featured Reader at Writers Night Out, or to offer a craft workshop, we pay them. It might be only be a small payment, but we do everything in our power to make that payment happen, to show writers that they’re work is valued.
