Writers Read Hilltowns December

Bio: Jane Yolen’s published book count has reached 407. Approximately a dozen of them are volumes of adult poetry, and the rest, she likes to say, include everything but romance (too much hands-on research for an 82-year-old), dark horror (although she has published three Holocaust novels), and novels about the old West. (She rode Lippizaners, not cowboy ponies.) She also writes operas, plays, and musicals, and at age 80 was in a band. All three of her children and two of her grandchildren are published writers.
