A Writer’s Night in October

Join Longmeadow Adult Center and Straw Dog Writers Guild on Thursday, October 19, 6:45-7:45pm for A Writer’s Night with featured reader Margaret Lloyd, poet and visual artist. Born in Liverpool, England, of Welsh parents, Margaret grew up in a Welsh immigrant community in central New York State. She attended the University of Rochester as an undergraduate and received her Ph.D. at the University of Leeds, England. In addition to publishing a book on William Carolos Williams, she has published four collections of poems. She has held several art exhibitions, as well as published paintings and painting/poem pairs in journals, nationally and internationally. Lloyd lives in Florence, Massachusetts, and is Professor Emeritus of English at Springfield College.
