Addressing social concerns while preserving cultural identity in children’s literature

September 20 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion that explores how children’s books can shape, reflect, and celebrate cultural identity. We will share insights into the power of storytelling in helping young readers see themselves and others in the books they read. The conversation will touch on the importance of authentic representation, the role of diverse voices in children’s literature, and how books can be tools for inclusion, empathy, and empowerment. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, librarian, or book lover, this panel will offer valuable perspectives on how children’s literature can nurture a deeper understanding of cultural identity from an early age.
